Work, work, work, work, work

Updated: Dec 8, 2024

This week was very busy in terms of meetings to bounce off ideas for my time as editor-in-chief of The Globe for the next academic year.

The week started off with our weekly pitch meeting and layout session. The current editor-in-chief and I also met early to do some cleaning of the office and go over some situations I might come across next year and how I should handle them. Here is this week's Globe's Point. I also wrote a news story about renovations coming to the Student Center on campus. Also, I wrote an opinion's piece on the cost of transcripts. Furthermore, I wrote an arts and entertainment piece on a show on campus. Finally, the editor-in-chief, Jake Dabkowski, and I co-wrote a features profile on Wall Street Journal opinion's columnist Jason Riley, who visited campus and gave a talk.

For the rest of the week, I worked on the news briefs and Globe's Point, as well as managing writers and editing stories.
