Man on the Street

Sophomore legal studies major Julianne Bailey, 19, takes a quick seat outside of Village Park before walking to pick up their girlfriend from the bus stop. They are “excited” to send a mail in ballot to their home of Brookville, PA. Bailey said, “the world is a hot mess, and I would like to try to fix it.”



Sophomore behavioral sciences major Kassady Burke, 19, strikes a pose in front of a blooming bush on Wood Street. From Glassport, PA, Burke believes that voting is “our duty” and that “the world is very messed up and needs fixing.” She plans to take the bus home on election day and vote in person.



Camera Hogan, 25, who works at a Dispensary, sets her champagne bottle down to flash a smile at Point State Park. Hogan is originally from Atlanta, GA, but now a Pittsburgh resident. She is voting this November for the “protection of voting rights, women’s rights, people of color’s rights” and believes that “no one should be broke right now or ever, and it’s my duty being in a better financial place now to help advocate for those in need.”



Nina Kissel, 33, a photographer, stay-at-home mom, and Pittsburgh resident, takes a break from her latest shoot at Point State Park. Kissel is “proud” to exercise the right to vote this November and “believes everyone should.” She said,”I don’t care who you are, what you’re voting for, whatever reason, but we all must do it [vote].”



Journalism student Ash Harter, 19, takes a break in between classes at Village Park with their friends. Harter will be sending in a mail in ballot to their home of Bellefonte, PA. They said, “I am voting because it’s simply my civic duty.”
